Dynamo Kyiv followed up their Matchday 2 loss to Spanish champions
FC Barcelona with a 2-2 draw away to Italian title-holders FC
Internazionale Milano on Tuesday night. Twice the White-Blues took the
lead, but both times José Mourinho's men found a way back. Dynamo
coach opted for an attacking lineup with Andriy Shevchenko, Artem
Milevskyy and Andriy Yarmolenko all coming into the starting eleven.
The visitors started brightly and took a fifth-minute lead through
Taras Mykhalyk. The Nerazzurri levelled matters twenty minutes later
via Serbian midfield player Dejan Stanković, but found themselves a
goal behind once more on 40 minutes following Lucio's own goal. Three
minutes after the interval Internazionale equalised again thanks to
Walter Samuel's header. Dynamo pushed forward in search of a winner and
gave Inter’s goalkeeper Júlio César a couple of nervous moments. At the
other end of the pitch, though, the hosts upped the pressure as well
and tested Dynamo custodian with dangerous strikes. As a result, Suazo
did put the ball in the net in added time, but his effort was ruled
offside.
The two sides will cross swords again in Kyiv in two
weeks. The match will take place at the Lobanovskyy Dynamo stadium on
Wednesday, 4 November, with the traditional kick-off at 21.45 (local
time). 2009/2010 UEFA Champions League. Group stage. Matchday 3 INTERNAZIONALE – DYNAMO – 2:2 (1:2)
