Dynamo Kyiv would like to announce that there has been a change of opponent for the first of the three friendlies to be played in Portugal later this month.

The White-Blues will now face Irish Premier League side Shamrock Rovers FC instead of Irish Division 1 outfit Mervue United A.F.C.

The match will take place on Sunday 7th February in Faro. The game will kick-off at 3.00pm local time (5.00p.m. Kyiv time).

Myron Markevych and Yuriy Kalitvintsev will take charge of the Ukraine national team and replace Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, whose contract expired in November. The decision was made by the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) on Monday 1 February in Kyiv.

Markevych currently heads FC Metalist Kharkiv, which is third in the Ukrainian Premier League table, while his new assistant Yuriy Kalitvitsev coaches Dynamo-2. Both coaches will be able to combine their club commitments and international duties.

The Blue-Yellows will play their first match under new coaches, a friendly against national team of Ghana, in May.

Dynamo Kyiv star Andriy Shevchenko and Ukrainian football legend Oleh Blokhin have accepted the invitation to represent their country as a tournament ambassadors for the 2012 European Championship in Ukraine and Poland, while former Polish internationals Zbigniew Boniek and Andrzej Szarmach will act as EURO 2012 ambassadors in their native Poland.

As you know, games will be played in Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw (Poland), Lviv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kyiv (Ukraine) from 8 June to 1 July 2012.

Dynamo Kyiv faced Maccabi Ironi Bat Yam FC in their first mid-season friendly on Friday and passed the test with flying colours, defeating the Israeli side 3-0 thanks to goals by team’s captain Artem Milevskyy, long-time absentee Artem Kravets and first-team debutant Vladyslav Kalitvintsev.

The White-Blues' next match against Hapoel Umm al-Fahm Football Club is scheduled on Sunday, January 24, and will kick off at 17.00.

Tickets for the Matchday 14 clash between Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk go on sale on Saturday, 7 November. Their prices will range from 50 to 200 Ukrainian hryvnyas (50, 80, 100, 150 and 200 UAH depending on the sector selected). Tickets can be purchased directly from the ticket office located at the stadium (3, Hrushevskoho str.).

The two teams will meet at the Lobanovskyy Dynamo stadium on Saturday, 21 November, with the match kicking-off at 15.00.

Dynamo Kyiv followed up their Matchday 2 loss to Spanish champions FC Barcelona with a 2-2 draw away to Italian title-holders FC Internazionale Milano on Tuesday night. Twice the White-Blues took the lead, but both times José Mourinho's men found a way back.

Dynamo coach opted for an attacking lineup with Andriy Shevchenko, Artem Milevskyy and Andriy Yarmolenko all coming into the starting eleven. The visitors started brightly and took a fifth-minute lead through Taras Mykhalyk. The Nerazzurri levelled matters twenty minutes later via Serbian midfield player Dejan Stanković, but found themselves a goal behind once more on 40 minutes following Lucio's own goal. Dynamo Kyiv coach Valeriy Gazzaev spoke to the media ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League encounter with FC Internazionale Milano. The Russian coach has confirmed that all the players are in good condition and ready to face the Italian Serie A leaders.

- All the players are fit and ready to fight, - said Valeriy Gazzaev. - The only exception is Dynamo goalkeeper Oleksandr Shovkovskyy. Unfortunately, he didn't travel with us as he suffered an injury during the training session while on international duty. The White-Blues' defender Tiberiu Ghioane stayed in Kyiv too.

On Monday morning FC Dynamo Kyiv departed for Italy for tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League group stage match against FC Internazionale Milano. Dynamo coach Valeriy Gazzaev has selected a 20-man squad to visit the fashion capital. The list of names will later be reduced to 18 players.

Dynamo and Vorskla first met in 1996 in Poltava. That match ended in the opponents’ 4-3 victory. Since then, however, the opposition from Poltava has failed to win any of their next games against the Kyivers. Sunday’s match between Dynamo and Vorskla will be the two sides' 27th meeting in the Ukrainian top-flight competition.

Overall, the White-Blues have registered twenty-one wins, four draws and one loss from their previous matches against Vorskla with 65 goals scored and 18 conceded. In thirteen away games Dynamo have claimed ten wins, two draws and one defeat, with the goal difference of 30:12.

The 2002/2003 season saw the most prolific game when Vorskla was defeated 8-0, with Leandro, Shatskikh and Diogo Rincón going for a double.
