Myron
Markevych and Yuriy Kalitvintsev will take charge of the Ukraine
national team and replace Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, whose contract
expired in November. The decision was made by the Executive Committee
of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) on Monday 1 February in
Kyiv. Markevych currently heads FC Metalist Kharkiv, which is
third in the Ukrainian Premier League table, while his new assistant
Yuriy Kalitvitsev coaches Dynamo-2. Both coaches will be able to
combine their club commitments and international duties. The Blue-Yellows will play their first match under new coaches, a friendly against national team of Ghana, in May.
